Welcome to the Zip+ Program!

The ZIP+ Program is generously funded by the Friends of the Calaveras County Library.

How it Works

If you are looking for a title that is not currently in our collection, and it meets our selection requirements, the library will order the requested item from Amazon and have it shipped directly to your home. Once the item is delivered, it will be checked out to your library account. You will have 60 days from the estimated delivery date before it is due, and when you return the item, it will be considered for addition to our collection.

Requirements

A Calaveras County Library account in good standing. You can apply online for a library card.
Only request items that are not in the library catalog.
The cost must be under $30 per item.
Item may be a book—regular print or Large Print—or an audiobook in English or Spanish.
No textbooks, workbooks, academic works, or current bestsellers.
Item must be sold as a new copy on U.S. Amazon, must be in stock, and cannot be a preorder.
ZIP purchases may be added to the library's collection if they fall under our collection development guidelines.
To order another item, you must return the one you have.

Lost or Damaged ZIP Books

Damaged ZIP Books will result in a charge to your account in accordance with the library’s materials policy. Lost or unreturned ZIP Books will incur a charge that includes the cost of the item and a processing fee. If you have more than two lost or damaged ZIP Books, you will not be permitted to place additional ZIP Book orders.
