Announcement: New System and New Website

Going Live on Wednesday, July 29th

As we migrate data to our new library system, you may receive an email notifying you that your PIN number has been changed. We kindly ask for your patience until tomorrow, when the new website will be launched. Once the new system is live, you should be able to log in to your new account and reset your PIN number. Please click here for more information.

Access to your Catalog Plus account—including logging in and placing holds—has been disabled. You can still search our catalog through Catalog Plus. Our new website and catalog will go live on Wednesday, July 29.

Arnold Library and Murphys Library: Open Hours will be changing starting on August 17th. 18 February 2026

Arnold Library and Murphys Library: Open Hours will be changing starting on August 17th.

Due to budget issues and low staffing, hours will be reduced at the Arnold and Murphys Branch Libraries.

New Hours as of August 17th: 

Arnold Library: Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Murphys Library: Tuesday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Closure: All Calaveras County Libraries will be closed on Monday, July 27 and Tuesday, July 28 for system upgrades. 18 February 2026

Begins on Monday, June 15th

All seven library sites and the Blue Mountain Coalition in West Point are offering Grab & Go lunches this summer. The Lunch at the Library program is FREE for youth ages 18 and under on a first-come-first-served basis. Sign up at your local participating branch!

Come and join us this summer for an array of exciting, themed programs organized by the skilled team at the Calaveras County Library. For ages 7 and up.

Week 7: July 27th - July 31st

Join us for a fun‑filled Summer Lunch Program at library locations all across Calaveras County! Kids and teens 18 and under can enjoy free lunches and exciting activities all summer long. Everyone is welcome—come make memories and be part of the summer fun. We can’t wait to see you there!

Weeks 7 & 8 Lunch at the Library Programs are taking place in Angels Camp, Arnold, Copperopolis, and Murphys.

Week 7 Highlights:

  • Mountain Pine Tree Story Apron Puppet Show with Jennifer Agurrie: Thursday, July 30 at the Angels Camp Library at 11:00 a.m. and at the Copperopolia Library at 1:00 p.m.
  • Grow a Grass Buddy with Maria: Friday, July 31 at the Arnold Library at 12:00 p.m.

We are very sorry to announce that, due to state budget issues, the ZIP Books Program is no longer being funded, and therefore cannot continue. We have spent all the funding allocated for our 2025/2026 grant and will not be able to fulfill any additional requests, including those that have been submitted but have not yet been purchased. We apologize for this unexpected news.
